The Clock Just Wont Tick
Ever have those days where you are doomed to the never ending, clock watching, eye rubbing, just wishing the day was over, kind of days? Yeah, so basically that's the kind of day I'm having.
For fear of the people who may actually read this, I suggest you stop while you can. This is going to be rather boring.
I started my day off with an alarm clock beeping, spastic, as if it were going to fall off of the shelf in which it had declared its home some three weeks ago. Not only do I absolutely hate waking up to that very unpleasant, heart stopping noise, but I hate waking up to it three times in a row. All of in which are my own fault, I should of just gotten up the first time and beat the hell out of it with a damn baseball bat, or just turned it off and not gone back to bed. I do prefer to wake up to the sound of music in the morning, though we can't have everything, now can we?
I get dressed and head off to work. Which, thank you for this, I didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to get to work because work for me, this morning, was only 10 minutes away! Where as, if I were leaving from Snellville, I'd have to leave my house by 6:10. I get to work and I'm early. I'm technically not required to be at work until 7am, but I keep getting here around 6:50ish and waiting for the one we call "Keebler" to come and train me on her usual day. Keebler, also known as Angie or the omniscient one, is about to have a little elf named Noah. She's due on November 19th and will be leaving Toyota on maternity leave until mid February. So, with her leaving, naturally everyone is going crazy because there will not be anyone to run the fort! Hence her nickname, Keebler, the keeper of the trees. I, however, have come in to replace her until she can come back to work. She is my Dad (the King's) assistant, as well as everyone else's question answerer. For such a small little women (she's all of four feet, eleven inches tall, with the baby about 130 pounds) I've got some pretty big shoes to fill.
So, with that, I bet you are wondering what the hell I am doing blogging while at work. To answer that, our damn computer system has crashed, yet again. You would think that with the size of this company we could actually get a computer system that was worth a damn. Apparently, during my three month leave, the decided to update the computer system and make everything much more faster. "It will be the fastest computer system yet! You'll be able to fly through daily computer required tasks!" Yeah, right! I was trying to punch PO's or purchase orders, this afternoon and it took me almost 10 minutes longer to punch them than before with the old system. They didn't make the damn computer system faster! They made it slower. I keep thinking of that damn bellsouth commercial, "S-L-O-W - - D-I-A-L- - U-P!" Damn that commercial, it drives me crazy! That and the damn hurricane knocked out SET, or South EasternToyota, which is like the motherboard for Toyota. Everything is broke here!
So anyway, I'm sitting here, waiting for my dad to get ready to leave. I don't want to fight the traffic back to Snellville. Gotta run though, figured id go bother some techs.
